Eric was born and raised in Fairburn, Ga., just south of Atlanta.
Eric was drafted 5th overall in the 2010 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs.
He attended Creekside High School in Fairburn, Ga., where he was a four-year starter at quarterback and defensive back, 2003-2007.
Following high school, Eric signed with the University of Tennessee as the top-rated defensive back in the country.
At the University of Tennessee, Berry was a two-time All-American, a Jim Thorpe Award winner and three-time All-SEC selection.
Eric’s father, James Berry, is president of the Fairburn Athletic Association, a community-based organization formed to provide an organized sports program for the children of Fairburn and surrounding communities.
James also serves as coach of the Fairburn Flames, the youth football league where Eric played as a boy.
